Our Staff

Noemi, Client Service Specialist

You can call me Nomi! I've been working in the veterinary field since graduating from high school. I started as a kennel technician and worked my way up over the years. I have tried to branch out into other fields, but I always end up coming back to veterinary care.  I've lived in San Antonio all my life, and I've had pets just as long. At home I have 2 ball pythons, Haba and Balthazar, a Pit Bull mix, Andromeda, a kitty, Marie, and a hedgehog, Hufflepuff. I love getting to interact with pets and their people, and watching puppies and kittens grow up has to be my favorite part of the job. I am a nerd at heart and I am always looking for more learning opportunities. I graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Biology from UTSA and take as many continuing education courses as I can squeeze into my schedule.

I have been in the veterinary field almost 7 years now. I started as a kennel technician in a local veterinary clinic and boarding facility and have worked my way up. I enjoy learning new things, especially about animal behavior, radiology, pharmacology, neurology, and surgery. During my career in veterinary medicine, I have been in school studying to earn my nursing degree as well as any taking as many veterinary CE courses as I can fit in. Caring for animals has always been my passion, and I have been in the veterinary field for 15 years now. The best part of the work we do is seeing sick pets feeling better and going home. It is very rewarding to know that we did the best job possible and, as a result a patient is now healthy and happy and back home with their families. When I'm not working I'm at home in the hill county spending time with my husband, 2 dogs, and 3 cats. I also enjoy riding my motorcycle through the hill country and painting in my free time.

Stacy, Client Service Specialist/Technician

I started in the veterinary field in September of 2015. Right now, I'm working as a client service specialist, I've had some experience on the human side of medicine. I am currently in school to obtain my degree in Veterinary Technology and want to branch out into the other areas of veterinary care. The best part of the job so far is being so hands on with the pets in our care (and who doesn't love the puppies and kittens?!), and I really enjoy helping people and their pets. When I'm not working, at school, or studying, I love to watch movies especially documentaries, horror, and comedy films. I can also be found playing video games with my husband or spending time with our dog. I've had all sorts of pets: birds, turtles, snakes, scorpions, a tarantula, rabbits, ferrets, even chickens! I'm a very determined person and I can't wait to finish my degree and help even more animals and their people.

I am just starting out in veterinary medicine, but I spent several years working in the animal rescue field prior to joining the HVMC team! I actually began by giving tours of the animal sanctuary many years ago. I love that my work allows me to meet folks from literally all over the world and nothing beats being part of a huge movement to help animals in need. When I'm not working I enjoy spending time with my family, especially my young son. I spend time reading, traveling, bird watching, hiking, and camping. At home, we have two dogs: Grady James and Lily Jane.

I have been working as a Kennel Caretaker for about 8 years now. I really enjoy working with pets of all species. My favorite part of the work is being involved in the treatment of pets that are here in the hospital. When I have the opportunity, I love to spend time with my family and my pets. At home, I have six pets; three dogs and 3 birds.

Glorieliz Colon, Veterinary Assistant

I started at Heritage Veterinary Medical Center about a year ago as a volunteer. Since then, I've worked my way up to assistant and I am currently enrolled in the Veterinary Technician Program at Palo Alto College. Working as a Veterinary Assistant has given me the opportunity to learn so many new and interesting things. That is my favorite part of the work we do, learning about different types of pets and the care we provide for them. At home, I love to spend time with my family. When I'm not working or with my family, you'll find me studying for school or teaching my two dogs, Choco & Blue, new tricks.
