The Staff at Heritage Veterinary Medical Center

Hello, my name is John Andrews and I joined the staff at Heritage Veterinary Medical Center in 2003.  Veterinary Medicine is a huge passion of mine. I love making animals feel better when they are injured or not feeling well. My outside work interests are spending time with my fiance and my son, as well as working on my car.

Hello, my name is Erica Ferguson and I joined the staff at Heritage Veterinary Medical Center in the Spring of 2009. I am the first person you see when you walk in the door and the last person before you leave.  I am new to veterinary medicine but am loving every day of it.  I get to meet and greet your four legged family members on a daily basis.  Right now I am attending school at Northwest Vista College to further my career as a dietician. I recently married my high school sweetheart and we are parents of 2 four legged, furry, full of energy dogs; a Basset Hound named Daphne and a Lab mix named Daisy. When I am not at work or school I enjoy talking walks with them and hanging out with friends and family.

Hello, my name is Raymond Esparza and I have been a part of the Heritage Veterinary Medical Center team since August 2008.  I only work at the clinic during weekends but have the pleasure of caring for your furry friends while they board with us throughout your time away.  I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and am currently working on completing prerequisites to apply to the College of Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M.  I have two children which I adopted from a stray who gave birth to a litter of ten in my backyard.  They are now 4 years old and continue to show me unconditional love just as I have to them.  Animal care has always had a special place in my heart and I plan to continue its support for many years to come.

Hello, my name is Miki Schmidt. I joined the staff at Heritage Veterinary Medical Center in August 2009. Currently I am applying to the College of Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M University. After graduating from Texas A&M Galveston I moved to San Antonio with my boyfriend and our dog Misty Mae that was a Hurricane Ike rescue. When I am not working I enjoy being outside, rock climbing, and traveling all over this great state of Texas!
