The Staff at Heritage Veterinary Medical Center

Hello, my name is Laurie Badders, I am a registered Veterinary and Dental Technician. My passion has always been to work with the wonderful furred and feathered companions so endeared to your hearts. I joined the staff at Heriage Veterinary Medical Center in 2001 to work closely with Dr. Ehrlund to provide the best veterinary care with some of the most advanced monitoring and diagnostic equipment. To ensure the best care for your animals I attend numerous continuing education courses to keep updated on the advanced techniques.Oral Health Care is my specialty as I am a member of the American Society of Veterinary Dental Technicians. I enjoy the education and preventative care given for oral health care which I think is the most important thing for keeping pets healthy. Over the years I have owned horses, cows, goats, chickens, fish (salt and fresh), rats, a blue and gold macaw, numerous other birds, and snakes. I currently own three cats and a a hourse. Recently, I added a Chihuahua puppy to my furry friends. My outside interests are horseback riding, rodeos, and drag racing.

Currently I am working at Heritage full time and attending school at Northwest Vista College part time. I hope to one day recieve a degree in either Mathmatics or Business Management. A few of my non-animal hobbies include anything outdoors, scrapbooking, and baking.

Hello, my name is Katie Higbee and I joined that staff at Heritage Veterinary Medical Center in the November 2008 after moving back to San Antonio. Veterinary Medicine has been a part of my life for about 3 years now. Working at Heritage I have had some of the best experiences of my life and have been able to work with not only dogs and cats but exotics on a daily basis. I enjoy learning more about dogs and cats diets and helping clients figure out what/how much they should be feeding their pets as well as sharing the tips and tricks I have learned with my own. I currently am living with the love of my life, a Chihuahua named Daisy; however my parents have 2 rescue dogs, Helmet and Danny, and a turtle named Muku. My outside interests are cooking, baking, and traveling.

I get to meet and greet your four legged family members on a daily basis. Right now I am attending school at Northwest Vista College to further my career as a dietician. My fiance and I recently became parents of a four legged, furry, full of energy Basset Hound puppy named Daphne. When I am not at work or school I enjoy talking walks with Daphne and hanging out with friends and family.
